AIT ARCHITEKTURSALON

HAMBURG, GERMANY | DECEMBER 2009

On our travels to the various places and countries our projects took us during the year - a pool of snapshots was generated. Together with travel sketches, scenes of the daily hustle and bustle in a sprawling city such as Beijing, vast landscapes in Iran, as well as countless images of differing cultures are exhibited on a large sheet in the background of the window.

According to a Chinese saying it is necessary to understand the past in order to design the future. These snapshots demonstrating the contrast between past and present create awareness of these circumstances.

Three back-lit Fabric Frames presenting a selection of our recent projects, hang in the foreground of the window. The paper and accessories shop in Grünwald, the Gaggenau Showroom in Hangzhou Mansion and China Life, a project in Beijing for one of China’s largest life insurance companies.
