GAGGENAU SHOWROOM

SHANGHAI, CHINA | 2008

The nearly 350 sqm sized Showroom area is located in the 47th floor of the second tower of Plaza 66 which was completed in 2006. The convex shaped floor plan has an extraordinary view all over the fascinating metropolis of Shanghai through a ceiling high glass facade, so that the city seems to soak into the rooms and spreads its characteristics and qualities. Opposite the breathtaking image of the city is a wall made of vintage wood, the planks from a hundred year old cottage from the Schwarzwald, Germany.

In the so called „heritage wall“, recessed showcases are accessible through small vertical slots to display details of the company history and the cultural identity of the Schwarzwald media characterising graphics and exhibits.
