Gaggenau has opened three new showrooms this year, which happens to be the company’s 333rd anniversary: in Munich, London and Vienna. Next up, in 2017, is Chicago.

Gaggenau, which started as an ironworks company in the eponymous town in Germany’s Black Forest in 1683, is now a global manufacturer of professional-grade kitchen appliances that are known for both their sleek design and their high functionality. The same zeal for quality is reflected in the company’s showrooms, three of which opened or were refurnished earlier this year: in Munich, London and Vienna. Developed together with the Munich-based architecture firm einszu33, headed by Hendrik Müller, the spaces are a place of inspiration rather than display.
