Brunner Designers’ Saturday

“The presentation shows the fresh, young side of the company, which is in the throes of a generation change, and their product world which has to meet increasingly differentiated needs of the customers”. This is how the designers from einszu33 describe their simple, but effective design for the appearance of furniture manufacturer Brunner at the 15th edition of the Designers’ Saturday in 2016 in Swiss Langenthal.

The place of the creative happening was the production hall of a locksmith’s shop where the Munich-based agency placed several, different sized cereal silos made of corrugated iron. Thanks to their industrial character, the ready-mades initially appeared to belong to the workshop alongside the existing machines. It was not until visitors passed by the openings that had been turned to face each other, at the same time guiding them through the exhibition, that the inner life became visible and the large-scale storage units turned out to be “colour capsules” containing something very special: the new edition of the Crona chair series. That series which can be used as modern club chair, bar stool or swivel chair impressed both with its special colour schemes and its reworked design. A partition wall supplemented the 96 m2 presentation of the family- owned company from Rheinau-Freistett with key facts and figures.
